Anita's least favorite day because Sunday use to be a day were all Anita's family use to meet every Sunday. Now, its only her mother and her. However, this Sunday is diferent because Tía Mari had the idea of bringing the canasta group to the house so that her mother could at least see them from the window. That Sunday Anita finds out that El Jefe was one whole night in his father's Chevy. Anita and her mother took turns peeking through the window. When it was Anita's turn, her eye was caught by a young man reading. Suddenly she realizes that is Oscar, and she keeps watching him everytime it's her turn.
Anita decides that she wants to read more, so she asked Tía Mari is she could borrow a book from their old classroom.
