Tom Sawyer's Funeral

Chapter 17 takes place in the "funeral" of Tom, Joe and Huckleberry Finn. Becky regrets how she had been acting with Tom before he had "died." The next day, everyboy goes to church. In church, the three boys appeared and their families are really surprised. Tom is sad because no one is saying nothing to Huck. The last line of the chapter goes like this "Tom got more cuffs and kisses that day -- according to Aunt Polly's varying moods -- than he had earned before in a year; and he hardly knew which expressed the most gratefulness to God and affection for himself." What this means is that Tom got more kisses and cuffs from Aunt Polly than he had got in a year and he didn't knew if the suffs or the kisses expressed most gratefulness to God and affection to himself.

I think Tom is not sick. He is only depressed because of Becky. The medicines that Aunt Polly gives him doesn't work because I think they are only a bunch of superstition and Tom isn's really sick. Tom is like that because of Becky's absence and because she is sick. I think that he is only depressed, so maybe it is realistic. But he is not really sick.

"Serious" Event

Today I am going to write about a funny thing that happened in a serious event. We were all in an Acto Civico, when a student started making weird noises while we were singing the national anthem. It was very funny. Almost everyone started laughing and looking at that person, others were annoyed. I know that this was disrespectful but it was really funny.

As I have been reading the book The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, I have been able to get to know the main character, Tom . As I read the story, I can tell that Tom Sawyer is a irresponsable kid that seems to like to get in trouble. He likes to blackmail other people. He doesn't obey his aunt Polly. He also skives off school so he can go swimming. In conclusion, I would not be his friend because he is a disobedient boy.
